Man Held in Croydon Over Stabbing
On Friday, 27 February, a 26-year-old man was arrested in Croydon on suspicion of murder. He is now in police custody as the probe intensifies.
Camron Smith, stabbed at a Croydon home just after midnight on 1 July 2021, sadly died despite emergency crews’ fight to save him.
Justice Still at Forefront, Police Say
Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend said: “This latest arrest demonstrates our commitment to this investigation, almost five years after Camron’s death.
We remain dedicated to securing justice for the victim and their family.”
Previous Convictions in Ongoing Case
- Romain La Pierre, 23 – life sentence with a minimum of 28 years for murder and robbery (convicted October 2023, sentenced December 2023)
- Jordan Tcheuko, 22 – 15 years for manslaughter (convicted October 2023, sentenced December 2023)
- Romario Gordon, 22 – 13 years for manslaughter (convicted September 2025, sentenced November 2025)
