Tragedy struck Limehouse in the early hours of Sunday, 5 April, when a deadly collision claimed the life of a woman in her 30s. Police are urgently hunting witnesses to piece together what went wrong at the busy junction of Commercial Road and East India Dock.
Early Morning Horror
Officers and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene around 3:30am after two vehicles crashed. Three people were found with serious injuries. Despite desperate efforts, the female passenger died at the scene. Her family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
Two Men Arrested, Still in Hospital
Two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both remain in hospital being treated for their injuries.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Sergeant John Dale from the Met’s Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time. We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, especially those with CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.”
