The detective who grilled Baby P’s mother Tracey Connelly insists she’s a “manipulative monster” who must never taste freedom again. Connelly is fresh off yet another parole bid, but the ex-officer says she’s far too dangerous to be freed.

Baby P’s Tragic Death

Tracey Connelly was locked up indefinitely in 2009 after her 17-month-old son, Peter—known as Baby P—died under horrific abuse. The tot was found dead in a blood-soaked cot on August 3, 2007, with over 50 injuries, including eight broken ribs and a snapped spine.

Ex-Detective John Wedger’s Stern Warning

John Wedger, the former Metropolitan Police detective who faced Connelly days before Baby P’s death, has spoken out against any second chance for her. With a parole panel reviewing her possible release next month, Wedger made it clear: she doesn’t deserve freedom.

“She is a manipulative monster who should never be given a second chance,” said Wedger.
