Armed cops have swooped on Lechlade tonight following a shocking shotgun blast.
Shotgun Fired in Cuthwine Place – One Injured
Emergency services rushed to Cuthwine Place around 7pm on Monday 20th April 2026, after reports of a shotgun being discharged. The weapon was recovered at the scene. One person is believed to have been hurt. Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance landed nearby before flying the victim to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Intense Search Underway with Police Dogs and Helicopter
Firearms officers are combing the area, backed by police dogs and the National Police Air Service helicopter. It’s not yet clear if the suspect is still on the loose. We have reached out to Wiltshire Police for a statement
