Grass and gorse are on fire in Gosport’s Fort Road area.

Eight fire engines, two water carriers, two support vehicles, and two Land Rovers are on the scene.

Just after 2.45 pm, several 999 calls were made about the fire.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue have advised, that the public should avoid the area to allow firefighters to work.

Close windows and doors if you live nearby and can smell smoke.
