£2 Million Fund Boosts Armed Forces Pupils

From April 2023, fresh funding will kick off to support Armed Forces communities across the UK. A whopping £2 million has already been granted to 54 projects aimed at transforming the lives of children from Service families.

£500K to Aid Military Partners

On top of that, £500,000 is set aside for 12 projects that cater specifically to the unique challenges faced by partners of serving personnel.

Service Pupil Support Programme Relaunches

The Ministry of Defence is reopening applications for its Service Pupil Support Programme in early April 2023. This vital scheme will fund projects that focus on:

  • Early detection and intervention for SEND pupils via a collaborative approach
  • Closing attainment gaps between Service and non-Service pupils using hard data
  • Supporting small groups of Service pupils within schools

More Opportunities Coming in Summer

Later, further funding rounds will launch for the Early Years Programme and the Supporting Partners scheme. Plus, a specialist programme will offer strategic grants aligned with the wider Armed Forces Families strategy.
