White House special counsel Richard Sauber revealed on Thursday that a classified document from Joe Biden’s vice presidency was found in the garage area of the president’s Wilmington, Delaware home. It was just a single-page, located in a room next to the garage.
No Papers at Second Home
Sauber confirmed that no classified materials were found at the Bidens’ second property in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The search was thorough and came as part of ongoing efforts to track down sensitive files.
DOJ Notified Immediately
The Department of Justice was informed straight away. Lawyers quickly took custody of the document to ensure it was handled properly. Sauber stressed the administration’s full cooperation with authorities.
Latest Discovery Follows Earlier Find in DC
This revelation comes just days after reports emerged about nearly ten classified documents found at Biden’s former Washington, DC office at the Penn Biden Center. Those files, also from his time as vice president, were handed over to the relevant officials earlier this week.
