Man in His 70s Assaulted After Confronting Teens in Westgate

A man in his seventies was attacked between 5pm and 5.45pm on Tuesday, 7 February 2023, after confronting a group of four youngsters in a communal area of a residential building on Canterbury Road, Westgate.

Suspects Flee After Second Person Steps In

The victim suffered head and foot injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The group of suspects scattered after being challenged by a second person on the scene.

Descriptions of the Four Suspects Released

  • Suspect 1: Slim, white boy, 14 or 15 years old, about 5ft tall. Blonde curly hair. Wearing a black hooded top, dark trousers, and black and white trainers.
  • Suspect 2: Slim white male in his 20s. Hooded top pulled tight around his face.
  • Suspect 3: Mixed race boy, 14 or 15, stocky build. Light blue hooded top. Short hair shaved at the sides.
  • Suspect 4: White girl of similar age with long brown hair.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Information
