Woman Dies in Early Morning Stabbing in Stratford

Police were called to Windmill Lane, E15, just after 3.30am on Sunday, 23 October following reports of a stabbing.

Officers and paramedics arrived to find two women with stab wounds. Tragically, a woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency efforts.

The victim’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A post-mortem and formal ID will be arranged shortly.

Second Woman Seriously Injured but Stable

The second victim, a woman in her 30s, was rushed to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at present.

Police Hunt Man Linked to Both Victims

Detectives are urgently searching for a man believed to be known to both women. Authorities have withheld further details about the suspect.

Chief Inspector Lisa Parker, Met’s North East BCU: “My thoughts and sympathies are with both these women and their families. I know the people of Newham, especially in Stratford, will be shocked and concerned by this tragic event. Specialist detectives are working fast to find and arrest whoever is responsible.”
