Terrifying dog bite leaves child fighting for life

A nine-year-old boy was rushed by air ambulance to a London hospital after being bitten multiple times by a dog at Orchard Flats, Cumberland Avenue, Canterbury. The child, related to the dog owner’s partner, was treated at the scene by paramedics before the urgent airlift on Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses describe frantic rescue effort

The boy’s aunt, who witnessed the horrific attack, bravely tried to pull the dog away. The youngster was said to be in critical condition and has now been transferred to a specialist hospital for further treatment.

Dog owner’s partner arrested as dog seized by police

Kent Police, supported by armed officers, responded shortly before 3pm. The man, partner of the woman whose family member was injured, was arrested as he was responsible for the dog, believed to be a French Bull Mastiff.
