Tragedy at Dawber Delph: Teenage Boy Drowns

Emergency crews rushed to Dawber Delph, Appley Bridge, at around 9:40pm on Saturday, July 9, after reports a 16-year-old boy had entered the water and become trapped.

Heartbreaking Discovery

After a frantic search, rescue teams recovered the boy’s body from the water. Sadly, he was declared dead at the scene.

Family Notified, Investigation Ongoing

The boy’s next of kin have been informed. Authorities confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. The coroner will be involved in due course.
