Woman Dies After Crash on Leeds Zebra Crossing
Tragedy struck on Ashley Road, Leeds, in the early hours today as a woman was fatally hit by a car on a zebra crossing.
Fatal Collision in the Dead of Night
Police were called at 12:18am BST after a white Toyota Auris struck a 47-year-old woman. The car was heading towards Stanley Road when the collision happened.
The victim was rushed to hospital but sadly pronounced dead. The driver stayed at the scene, cooperating fully with officers.
Police Hunt Key Witnesses
Officers want to speak to two people in a dark-coloured car who stopped at the crossing during the incident. They could hold vital information.
