Married Bedfordshire Cop Caught Sexting on Twitter
Officer Hits on Woman with TV Star Swagger
Bedfordshire Police officer Ryan Barnes shocked a 32-year-old woman by calling her “gorgeous” and urging her to check him out on Channel 4’s hit show 24 Hours In Police Custody. The married cop then sent her a selfie on Twitter, begging her to rate his looks, share her phone number, and even join a video call.
‘I’m a Bit Horny’ – The Shocking Messages
The mother of one from Preston was stunned when Barnes confessed, “I’m a bit horny” in his messages. Feeling uncomfortable, she knew she had to expose him.
“I felt like I had to out him publicly because he could be messaging others who might be intimidated by the fact he’s a senior officer,” she revealed.
Cop Wows with TV Fame – or Just Stupid?
Barnes, a Bedfordshire Police veteran since 2009, seemed to think his TV background would impress. The woman said, “It seemed like he was trying to impress me by being a cop and having appeared on this TV show.” She added, “I thought this was someone impersonating him. There’s no way a real officer could be this stupid.”
Cop Suspended as Police Probe Scandal
After a public complaint, the force suspended Barnes pending an internal review. Assistant Chief Constable Sharn Basra confirmed, “The standards department was reviewing the material.”
