Emergency services rushed to Fretson Green at 12:34am on Saturday, April 17, 2021, following reports of a serious injury to a 32-year-old man. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are treating the death as suspicious. The investigation is in its early stages. Specialist officers are supporting the man’s family, who have been informed.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Oughton said: “I know this incident will concern the community in the Manor area. I want to reassure the public that we are doing all we can to find those responsible.
“If you were in the Fretson Green area just before or after 12:30am, or noticed anything unusual, please come forward. Did your CCTV or dashcam capture any people or vehicles? Even small details could be crucial to our investigation.”
“Officers will be in the area for house-to-house enquiries and searches in the coming days. If you have concerns, please approach them—they’re here to help.”
