Cyclist Dies in Horror Crash with Car in Birmingham

Tragedy struck in Yardley, Birmingham, as a 48-year-old cyclist was killed after a collision with a car last night. West Midlands Police launched an investigation following the fatal crash.

Crash Details: Roundabout Collision at 9.45pm

Officers rushed to the roundabout where Stoney Lane meets Church Road shortly after 9.45pm on June 18. Despite emergency crews’ efforts, the cyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the black Ford Focus, aged 68, was uninjured and stayed at the scene to assist police with their inquiries.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“We’re appealing for anyone who saw what happened, or who has dash cam or other footage, to do the right thing and get in touch,” said Det Sgt Paul Hughes from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

Relatives of the deceased have been informed and are receiving police support.
