Armed Cops Nab Four After Brutal Kidnap and Beating in Mansfield Woodhouse

Four men have been arrested after a shocking kidnap and savage assault left a man battered and bloodied in Mansfield Woodhouse. The victim was attacked with weapons inside a shipping container before being dragged to another location and beaten again.

Victim Beaten and Hospitalised

The horrifying ordeal began early this morning when a group of men showed up at the victim’s home. They took him to a shipping container where they assaulted him with weapons. His torment continued at Patterson Place, where he was further attacked.

The battered man managed a desperate escape and banged on a neighbour’s door, begging for help. Residents called police immediately.

Armed Police Move In

Armed officers were deployed swiftly to the scene. They tracked down four suspects—aged 38, 33, 29, and 28—who matched witness descriptions. All four are now in custody, held on suspicion of kidnap.

Detective Inspector Nick Hall said: “This must have been a hugely distressing incident for the man involved. While we are pleased to have detained four suspects, our investigation remains in its early stages and we are working hard to establish what happened.”

Victim’s Injuries Not Life-Threatening

The victim was rushed to hospital with injuries to his nose, jaw, hand, and ankle. Thankfully, police say his wounds “aren’t believed to be life altering.” He has since been discharged.

Police confirmed they received the 999 call at around 7.40am, after a bloodied man appeared at Patterson Place, urgently asking for help.

Community on Alert as Investigation Continues

Officers have sealed off several scenes for forensic exams and will increase patrols in the area to reassure locals.

Detective Inspector Hall urged anyone with information to come forward:

“Did you see anything suspicious in Eighth Avenue, Forest Town, around 7am this morning? Please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 131 of 20 May 2021.”

Police stress this appears to be an isolated incident involving people known to each other, but the investigation continues.
