Cyclist Fatally Hit by Lorry in Greenwich: Police Seek Witnesses

A 37-year-old cyclist was killed in a tragic collision with a lorry on Woolwich Road, Greenwich, last Friday morning.

Fatal Crash Shakes Greenwich

Police were alerted at around 8.30am on 18 May following reports of the crash involving a lorry and cyclist at SE10. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at once.

Investigation Underway

The lorry driver stopped and is cooperating fully with detectives. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) and the Roads and Transport Policing Command have launched a probe. So far, no arrests have been made.

Loved ones of the cyclist have been informed, but formal ID is pending. Police urge anyone with info about the collision to call SCIU on 020 8285 1574.
