Cyclist Dies After Horror Collision with Lorry in Greenwich
Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a tragic crash that claimed the life of a cyclist in Greenwich. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit launched an urgent probe following the incident on Romney Road, SE10.
Crash Details
Emergency services were scrambled shortly after 4.30pm on Wednesday, 9 May, when a lorry collided with a 46-year-old male cyclist. London Ambulance Service, alongside London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene.
The cyclist was rushed to a south London hospital but sadly passed away two days later, on Friday, 11 May. Formal ID is yet to take place, and his next of kin have been informed.
Lorry Driver and Passenger Treated
The lorry’s driver and a passenger received medical attention at the scene for minor injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and is fully cooperating with police inquiries. No arrests have been made.
