Tragic Crash in Hornchurch Claims Life of 73-Year-Old Jaguar Driver

A deadly collision on Hacton Lane, Hornchurch, left a 73-year-old man dead on Sunday morning. Police were called to the scene at 10:27am after reports of a crash involving a Jaguar and a Mercedes.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Officers, London Ambulance Service, and the Fire Brigade arrived quickly, but despite their best efforts, the Jaguar driver died at the scene. The man’s family have been informed and are receiving police support.

Mercedes Driver Arrested for Suspected Drink Driving

The Mercedes driver, a 32-year-old man, was taken to hospital as a precaution. He has since been arrested on suspicion of offences including driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
