Seven Men Busted in Major London Robbery Sting
Seven men have been snapped up in a serious crime crackdown by London detectives. The arrests are part of a wide-ranging operation targeting violent criminal activity across the capital.
£80,000 Cash Haul Seized at Staples Corner
On Wednesday night, at around 7:25pm, Specialist Crime officers and the Met’s Spider Unit stopped two vehicles travelling together near Staples Corner, Barnet. A vehicle search revealed a holdall stuffed with roughly £80,000 in cash.
Two Tried to Flee from Heathrow
Five men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Meanwhile, two more, both aged 24, were nabbed at Heathrow Airport, caught trying to escape the country on the same charges.
Police Promise Ongoing Crackdown
All seven suspects are now in custody at north London police stations. Detective Chief Inspector Driss Hayoukane praised the “excellent police teamwork” that led to the arrests.
“Even during these unprecedented times, we are still cracking down on criminals and will continue to do so,” he said, reassuring Londoners that the city remains firmly on the crime-fighting front.
