Police Hunt Two Men After Man Left Fighting for Life in Old Kent Road Assault
Detectives have released images of two men they want to question after a brutal attack left a man in his 50s in critical condition.
Grim Scene on Old Kent Road
At around 10.30pm on Tuesday, 16 June, officers were called to reports of an assault near the junction of Old Kent Road and Trafalgar Avenue, SE1.
The victim was found with serious head injuries and rushed to a south London hospital, where he remains critically ill but stable.
Spat in Shop Sparks Violent Attack
Police believe the victim had a dispute with two men in a nearby shop just before the violent assault.
They are urgently seeking witnesses or anyone who can identify the suspects:
- One man – Black, wearing a white top and ripped light denim jeans
- The other – Black, dressed in a black tracksuit
Detective Pleads for Info
“The victim suffered very serious injuries and remains in critical condition more than a week after the attack,” said Detective Constable Stuart Gates from Central South CID. “This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable. We are determined to bring those responsible to justice. If you recognise these men, please contact us immediately.”
