Man Arrested After Woman Found Dead in Enfield Woods
Detectives have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body in Enfield yesterday. The suspect remains in police custody overnight.
Body Found in Burnt Farm Ride
Police were called to a wooded area in Burnt Farm Ride, Enfield, at 6:53am on Thursday, 6 August, after a woman was found unresponsive. London Ambulance Service and officers attended the scene, where the woman, believed to be in her 40s, was sadly pronounced dead.
Investigation Underway
While formal ID is pending, police believe they know who the victim is and have informed her next of kin. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Saturday, 8 August, at Haringey Mortuary.
The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Neil John from the Specialist Crime Command (Homicide). Another man arrested earlier on 6 August has since been released under investigation.
