Teen Stabbed to Death After Moped Incident

Police have arrested two men linked to the tragic stabbing of a 16-year-old boy in Thornton Heath. The victim was found with stab wounds on Bensham Manor Road, near Swain Road, on Friday, 9 July. Despite being rushed to hospital by members of the public, he sadly died on Sunday, 11 July.

Suspects Nabbed in South London Raid

On Monday, 12 July, officers swooped on an address in croydon/" title="Croydon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Croydon, arresting a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder. At the same time, a 22-year-old man was detained for possession with intent to supply class A drugs and later also arrested for murder. Both remain in custody at a south London police station as the investigation heats up.

Police Urge Public to Help Solve Case

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn made a direct appeal to witnesses: “We want anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage from Bensham Manor Road around 3.45pm on Friday to come forward immediately. The victim was stabbed following an incident involving two people on a moped. Please think back—did you see the moped before or after the attack?”

She added: “No detail is too small. The community’s support is vital as we continue our enquiries. At this stage, we believe this killing is an isolated incident.”
