Keyham Tragedy: Five Dead in Shooting Rampage
A horrific shooting in Keyham has left five people dead, all local residents. The suspect has been named as 22-year-old Jake Davison.
The Victims
- Maxine Davison (aka Maxine Chapman), 51, mother of the shooter
- Sophie Martyn, 3
- Sophie’s father, 43-year-old Mr Martyn
- Stephen Washington, 59
- Kate Shepherd, 66 – critically injured at the scene, later died in Derriford Hospital
Gun Legally Owned
Devon & Cornwall Police confirmed the firearm used was legally held by Davison. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched a mandatory probe into the circumstances surrounding the gun’s ownership and use.
Ongoing Police Operation
Officers are still combing through 13 crime scenes within the Keyham cordon. The lockdown is expected to remain in place throughout the day as the investigation intensifies.
