Double Stabbing Shakes Hackney Neighbourhood

Emergency services raced to Old Hill Road in Hackney on Monday evening after reports of a shocking double stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police arrived shortly after 5pm to find two victims with stab wounds inside a residential property opposite the Old Hill Community Centre.

Victims Treated and Rushed to Hospital

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service gave urgent treatment at the scene before taking both individuals to a nearby hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, though official updates on their condition are still awaited.

Crime Scene Locked Down as Police Launch Investigation

Officers have established a crime scene and sealed off the area with a cordon. They are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and reviewing CCTV footage to piece together what happened.

Old Hill Road remains closed to traffic while forensic teams comb through the scene. Locals are urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

Residents have expressed alarm and concern over the violent attack. Emma Thompson, a local, said:

“It’s terrifying that something like this could happen so close to home. We’ve always seen this as a safe neighbourhood, but recently there’s been more violence, and it’s worrying.”
