Gosport Woman Arrested Over Death of 13-Week-Old Baby

Tragic Baby Death Sparks Murder Probe

A 24-year-old woman from Gosport has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her 13-week-old baby. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service raised the alarm after they found the seriously ill infant at a home in Howe Road, Gosport.

Emergency Services Battle to Save Baby

Despite desperate efforts at the scene, the baby was sadly pronounced dead shortly after the emergency teams arrived. Police were called in by paramedics when they could not save the child’s life.

Investigation Underway

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the woman has been released under investigation. A spokesperson added:

“Enquiries into the exact circumstances and the cause of death are ongoing.”
