Mother of Gunman Killed in Horrific Rampage
Cries and chaos erupted in Plymouth as Jake Davison, 22, launched a deadly six-minute shooting spree. Among his victims was his own mother, Maxine, who tragically died at the scene despite desperate efforts by paramedics and air ambulance doctors.
Police Reveal Disturbing Details
Devon and Cornwall Police held a press conference unveiling chilling facts. Davison was a known figure to authorities and held a valid firearms certificate, renewed as recently as 2020. Sadly, his youngest victim was a three-year-old girl, the youngest lost in the horrific attack.
Family Tried to Get Help, But He Kept His Gun Licence
It has emerged that Davison’s mother and grandfather tried to secure mental health support for him. Despite their efforts, he maintained his firearms licence. Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer confirmed the bodybuilder entered his mother’s home armed with a pump-action shotgun, firing four fatal rounds just after 6.12pm on Thursday.
Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer said: “Davison murdered a female family member, 51, in a brutal and senseless attack.”
