Tragic stabbing in Norwood Road ends in fatality
Man fatally stabbed inside shop
Police rushed to Norwood Road SE27 at 5.58pm on Saturday, 15 April after reports of a stabbing.
Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service and the city’s Air Ambulance. They found a man, believed to be around 20 years old, suffering serious stab wounds inside a shop.
Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, he tragically died at the scene.
Police launch urgent investigation
Officers say they believe they know the victim’s identity and are working swiftly to inform his next of kin. No arrests have been made so far.
A crime scene remains in place, and detectives are piecing together what happened.
Stop and search powers boosted
A Section 60 Order has been authorised, giving police extra stop and search powers in the area to aid the investigation.
