Teen Brawl on Seafront Ends with Knife Seized
A violent scuffle erupted at 5.07pm on Friday, June 10, 2022, right at the seafront end of the High Street in Sittingbourne. Witnesses say a gang of four or five youths attacked another group before vanishing into the crowd.
Bladed Weapon Found at Scene
Police rushed to the scene and confiscated a bladed weapon. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt at the time, but later reports suggest one person may have suffered minor injuries.
Three Teens Arrested Over Public Disorder
In a swift response, officers arrested three boys aged 15 and 16, all local to Sittingbourne, on suspicion of public order offences. Two have since been bailed to return on July 4, while one remains in custody.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
“We continue to urge anyone who saw the incident to come forward,” said Detective Inspector Vanessa Law from Margate CID. “Motorists with dashcams, and local businesses or residents with CCTV, please check your footage.”
