Four Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Tower Hamlets

Detectives have swooped with four arrests following a deadly stabbing in Tower Hamlets. Police were called at around 4.30pm on Sunday, 26 May, to reports of violence on St Paul’s Way, E3.

Two Men Stabbed, One Dies

Officers and London Ambulance crews found two men with stab wounds at the scene. Both victims were rushed to a hospital in east London.

The younger victim, 23, suffered multiple stab wounds and was sadly declared dead later that night. His next of kin have been informed. Officers are awaiting formal identification. A post-mortem is scheduled for 29 May at Poplar Mortuary.

The second victim, aged 25, has since been discharged from hospital.

Homicide Team Leads Investigation

The Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the probe. On Monday, 27 May, they arrested four men aged 19 and 23 on suspicion of murder. All remain in police custody.
