Car Crashes Through Costa Coffee in Carterton – Three Injured
Chaos erupted earlier today in Carterton, West Oxfordshire, as a car smashed through the front of a Costa Coffee on Burford Road. Three people were injured in the shocking crash just before midday.
Emergency Services Flood the Scene
Paramedics, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene immediately. Police quickly closed the road and urged the public to steer clear of the area. Thames Valley Police confirmed the incident was not deliberate.
“A vehicle has been driven into Costa Coffee in Burford Road, injuring three people. We do not believe this was a deliberate act on behalf of the driver.”
Officers have asked witnesses to avoid sharing any video footage online, out of respect for the injured, and instead contact police quoting reference INC-20250507-1109.
All Three Victims Conscious and Receiving Treatment
Thankfully, all three injured were conscious and breathing when emergency crews arrived. The South Central Ambulance Service deployed three ambulances, a rapid response car, air ambulance team, and their Hazardous Area Response Team.
The three injured individuals are being conveyed to John Radcliffe Hospital for further treatment,” confirmed a spokesperson.
