Teen Stabbed to Death in Broad Daylight Outside East London Pizza Shop

Police have launched a murder probe after a 14-year-old boy was brutally attacked and killed outside Zzetta Pizzas in Canning Town, East London, on Friday afternoon.

Horrific Attack in Front of Family

The shocking assault happened just before 4pm on Barking Road, when the teenager was hit over the head with a metal pole and stabbed multiple times. Bystanders say the attack unfolded in broad daylight.

Emergency crews, including the London Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene but tragically, the boy was pronounced dead shortly after 4:30pm. The heartbroken parent was at the scene as desperate first aid was given.

Even seasoned officers were visibly shaken by the brutal killing.

Major Crime Scene and Ongoing Investigation

A large crime scene has been established and a major road closure is in place as police carry out their inquiries. Despite the extensive investigation, no arrests have been made yet.

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed:

“A murder investigation has been launched following a fatal stabbing in Newham. Police were called at 13:56 on Friday, 23 April, to reports of an assault in Barking Road, E16. Officers and medics found a 14-year-old male who had been stabbed. Despite best efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after 4:30pm. Efforts are under way to inform his next of kin.”

Police urge anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them immediately.

The Met has urged the public to help fight knife crime by reporting any information anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 or through their online form.

They warned: “No piece of information is too small. Your tip could save a life.”
