Two Nabbed in Fort Street Robbery Sting
A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery last night in a major police swoop.
Heavily Armed Police Raid
At around 8pm, up to four police cars and two vans flooded the area, sparking local alarm. The dramatic response followed reports of a robbery in the town.
Suspects Held in Custody
Isle of Wight Police confirmed the robbery occurred just before 7pm at an address on Fort Street.
The arrested suspects are a 36-year-old woman from Sandown and a 37-year-old man from Ryde. Both remain in police custody at this time as the investigation continues.
