Man Seriously Injured After Falling on Busy Orpington Road

A man was rushed to hospital in critical condition after falling on Leesons Hill, Orpington, in broad daylight on Sunday.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

The startling incident happened at 12.18pm on 25 May near Silverdale Road. The London Ambulance Service (LAS) sprang into action, sending an ambulance crew, fast response paramedics, and even London’s Air Ambulance to the scene.

“We were called at 12.18pm on Sunday (25 May) to reports of a person who had fallen in Leesons Road, Orpington. We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew and paramedics in fast response cars. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. The first paramedic arrived in around five minutes. We treated a patient at the scene and took him by road to a major trauma centre as a priority.” – LAS spokesperson

Man Taken to Major Trauma Centre

The man was quickly stabilised on-site before being rushed to a major trauma centre. His exact condition remains unknown at this time.

Police Investigate But Stay Tight-Lipped

The Metropolitan Police have been informed and are looking into the circumstances surrounding the fall. So far, no official statement has been released.
