Stabbed in Ilford Park on Bank Holiday Monday: Police Hunt Suspect
Detectives are urgently seeking witnesses after a man was stabbed in Ilford’s Valentines Park on Bank Holiday Monday.
Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight
Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to Perth Road, Ilford at 4.30pm on Monday, 28 May following reports of a male with knife wounds. The victim, 28, was found with stab injuries to his back and neck.
He was swiftly taken to an east London hospital where his condition was thankfully not life-threatening.
Suspect Description: Armed and Dangerous
The police appeal is ongoing as they try to piece together what led to the shocking unprovoked attack.
The suspect is described as an Asian male aged 20-30, wearing a long green jacket. He was armed with an eight-inch silver knife with a brown handle. Eyewitnesses say he fled on foot towards Perth Road right after the stabbing/" title="Stabbing" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">stabbing.
Police Plead for Witnesses to Come Forward
Detectives are urging anyone who saw the stabbing or spotted the suspect before or after the attack to get in touch.
