A Royal Mail lorry driver pushed a black VW Golf along the A40 on London’s North Circular for almost a mile – but he claims he never saw the car being dragged along the busy three-lane carriageway.

Motorists, including singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding, were forced to block the Royal Mail truck as it awkwardly shoved the Volkswagen sideways. Drivers blasted their horns in frustration as the bizarre traffic jam unfolded near the Hanger Lane roundabout in North-West London.
Royal Mail Launches Investigation
Transport for London reported serious delays at the scene this morning. It’s unclear if police have been involved yet, but a Royal Mail spokesperson said:
“We are really concerned and have been reviewing the footage. We sincerely hope that no one was hurt. We have launched an investigation into the matter and will be asking the driver for his account.”
