A man was left needing hospital treatment after being punched on a Nottingham bus and then attacked again on the street.
Bus Brawl Turns Brutal
The victim was on the top deck of the number one Nottingham City Transport bus, travelling from Nottingham city centre to Loughborough, when a dispute erupted. A man suddenly punched him in the face.
Assault Continues After Bus Stop
After getting off the bus, the victim was assaulted once more. He suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket, along with painful swelling. The shocking attack happened late on Saturday, 19 November.
Police Hunt Suspect With CCTV Snap
Nottinghamshire Police have launched an investigation and released CCTV images of the man they want to question about the assault.
“This was a frightening ordeal for the victim and we are determined to track down the person responsible as quickly as possible,” said Police Constable Andrew Finch.
“While our lines of inquiry are ongoing, we believe the man pictured may have information which could assist with our investigation.
“I’d appeal to this man, or anyone who knows or recognises him, to please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 389 of 20 November 2022, or anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
