Police rushed to Limehouse Basin Marina just after midnight on Sunday, December 4, after the London Ambulance Service tipped them off about a person spotted in the water.

The London Ambulance Service (LAS), London Fire Brigade (LFB), National Police Air Service, and specialist Met officers all scrambled to the scene.
Tragic Recovery at 1am
A man was pulled from the water around 1am. Paramedics treated him on the spot before rushing him to hospital. Despite desperate attempts, he was pronounced dead in the early hours.
