Investigation Underway as Family Mourns

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched a full probe. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards referred the case to ensure transparency.

“My thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult time,” said Frontline Policing Commander Alexis Boon. “I express my heartfelt condolences for their tragic loss.”

“Our officers face tough challenges every day and understand their actions must withstand public scrutiny,” Boon added.

The man’s family has been notified. The Met pledges full cooperation with the ongoing investigation as questions swirl over the incident on Chelsea Bridge.
