A murder investigation is underway after a shocking incident in Eastleigh where a man was pushed into the path of oncoming traffic.
Victim Dies at Scene After Pushed Into Traffic
Police locked down Woodside Avenue just after 5.44am on Sunday following the horrifying event. Two cars collided with the 23-year-old victim, a local man from Chandlers Ford, who died instantly at the scene.
Man Arrested Over Fatal Push
Officers arrested a 26-year-old Eastleigh man on suspicion of murder after witnesses claimed he pushed the victim into the path of one of the vehicles. Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the man is now in custody as enquiries continue.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.44am on Sunday 10 March to a report of two vehicles colliding with a pedestrian on Woodside Avenue. The pedestrian, a 23-year-old man from Chandlers Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.”
