No Charges for Teen After Shanklin Arson Probe
An 18-year-old teenager arrested on suspicion of arson following a huge fire in Shanklin has been cleared and is no longer under investigation.
Massive Blaze Devastates Flats
The fire broke out in the early hours in a block of flats on 1 Avenue. Forty firefighters battled the blaze through the night using specialist aerial ladder platforms. The fire ripped through the property, leaving seven people treated by medics, with some now homeless.
Man Remains on Bail
A second man, 39, reportedly treated for smoke inhalation, remains on police bail on suspicion of arson connected to the fire.
