Brixton Brawl Leaves Three Hospitalised and Several Arrested
Chaos erupted in Brixton on Saturday evening, August 20, as a violent group fight left three men in hospital. Police are now hunting witnesses to piece together what went down.
Stabbings Spark Frenzy in Josephine Avenue
At 6.10 p.m., officers rushed to Josephine Avenue, SW2, following reports of a brawl involving several males. London Ambulance Service paramedics found a man in his thirties with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.
Another male at the scene also suffered stab wounds. Despite being a suspect, he was taken to hospital before being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Taser Used to Detain Suspects After Incident
Police intercepted a vehicle fleeing the scene on Coldharbour Lane, SW9. Three men inside were detained on suspicion of attempted murder, with one subdued using a Taser. One of these suspects was found with a minor stab wound and received hospital treatment before arrest.
Another occupant of the vehicle also needed hospital care for stab injuries. Thankfully, all injuries have been confirmed as non-life threatening.
More Arrests Made, Investigations Underway
In total, six men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder — three at the scene and three from the vehicle.
Police have multiple crime scenes under investigation and are urging anyone with information to step forward.
