Southend Lorry Driver Battles for Life with Covid-19 in Hospital
Adrian Long’s Fight Against Coronavirus
Adrian Long, a lorry driver from Southend, is currently fighting for his life after contracting Coronavirus. The 40-something was rushed to Southend Hospital by ambulance last Friday, suffering from Covid-19 symptoms for over a week and struggling to breathe. By Saturday, he was put on a ventilator as his condition worsened.
Family Pleads for Public to Take Virus Seriously
Adrian’s family, including his wife and two young children, are anxiously hoping for his recovery. His sister, Cheryl, has issued a heartfelt warning to the public about the harsh reality of the virus.
“For anyone still ignoring government advice and carrying on as if Coronavirus won’t affect you or your family, please wake up! Seeing my brother taken out on oxygen, unable to speak, has made me physically sick. He was young and healthy. This virus can hit anyone, regardless of age or health,” Cheryl said.
A Desperate Call to Action
Cheryl urges everyone to stay at home and protect their loved ones, saying:
“I’m sharing this not for sympathy but to educate people about the brutal truth we’re facing. Please, enjoy time with your families safely. We hope to see Adrian back home with his nephews soon.”
Our thoughts are with Adrian and his family during this terrifying ordeal. We all must take this pandemic seriously.
