Tragedy on Marden Road: Woman in 80s Killed in Head-On Crash
A fatal smash near Marden has left the community reeling. At around 1.30pm on Wednesday 11 December 2019, a blue Hyundai i10 and a blue Kia Sorento collided head-on on the B2079 Goudhurst Road.
The Hyundai was heading towards Winchet Hill when the crash happened. Emergency services, including Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit and ambulance crews, rushed to the scene.
Driver Dies at Scene, Others Injured
Tragically, the Hyundai’s driver, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family have been informed. A man and a woman involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
