Chaos erupted at Heathrow’s Terminal 3 multi-storey car park this morning as police raced to reports of a mass assault shortly after 8.10am on December 7.
Armed Police and Emergency Crews Swarm Scene
Armed officers, paramedics, and firefighters flooded the area. Several victims were found suffering from what police suspect was pepper spray exposure.
The injured were rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
One Man Arrested, Police Hunt Others
An armed response unit arrested a man on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody while detectives hunt for other suspects involved in the brawl.
Police Confirm Dispute Among Known Individuals
“At this stage, we believe the incident involved a group of people known to each other, with an argument escalating and resulting in a number of people being injured,” said Commander Peter Stevens.
Authorities have ruled out any terror threat. “Our officers responded quickly and there will be an increased police presence at Heathrow Airport throughout the morning, to continue enquiries and ensure the safety of those in the area,” Stevens added.
