High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest After Dangerous Warwickshire Pursuit
Police have been hailed heroes after a nail-biting car chase through South Warwickshire tonight. A red VW Golf sparked a high-speed hunt when it refused to stop on the M40 near Henley-in-Arden.
Suspect Speeds Through Warwickshire Roads
The suspect sped southbound on the M40 before darting off at Junction 15 near Warwick. He then took the A46 toward Coventry, pushing officers to their limits. A waiting police dog unit was quickly deployed, successfully stinging the vehicle to slow it down.
Driver Defies Road Closures in Desperate Escape
Even after the sting, the driver ignored a road closure at the A452 Leamington Road junction. To protect the public and road workers, officers used the closed road to force the vehicle off the road safely.
Arrest Made on Multiple Charges
The driver was arrested on the spot, facing charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and domestic assault. Police praised their rapid response for preventing any injuries or worse on busy Warwickshire roads.
