Man Attacked in Southampton: Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a man was violently attacked in Southampton late at night. The 44-year-old victim was walking along 1 Lane when two men confronted him with verbal abuse before knocking him to the ground and punching him several times.
Assault in Residential Area Shakes Victim
The brutal attack took place around 11:45pm on May 6. Despite suffering only minor injuries, the victim has been left shaken by the ordeal.
One attacker is described as white, about 5ft 7ins tall, with clean-shaven grey hair, wearing blue jeans and a blue jumper.
Police Appeal for Key Witnesses
PC Cat Symonds said: “The victim has understandably been left shaken by this incident and we want to catch those responsible.”
“The victim noticed a man in a white tracksuit nearby at the time, and we’re urging this person to come forward. He may have seen or heard something that could help.”
“Since this happened in a residential area, we also want anyone else who saw or heard anything to get in touch.”
