Man Sprays Woman’s Face with Unknown Substance at Brighton Bus Stop

Police hunt a man caught on camera after a shocking assault at a bus stop in Rottingdean, Brighton. The victim was verbally harassed at The White Horse Hotel on Marine Drive before the attacker sprayed her face with an unknown substance, causing burning and redness.

The Assault

The incident happened between 5pm and 6pm on Thursday, September 1. The man, sitting next to the woman while waiting for the bus, began verbally abusing her. He then sprayed her face, leaving her visibly hurt.

Police Appeal for Help

The suspect is described as stocky, around 5’5″ tall, wearing blue jeans and a light blue short-sleeved shirt. Officers released his image, urging the public to come forward if they recognise him.
