Woman Attacked in Sussex Park – Man in Custody
Police rushed to a park near Decoy Drive after a 63-year-old woman was assaulted on Saturday afternoon.
Attack Details and Victim’s Condition
The incident happened between 2.20pm and 2.30pm GMT on February 25. A man unknown to the woman approached and attacked her. Thankfully, her injuries aren’t serious. She is receiving support from specialist officers.
Suspect Arrested – Police Seek Witnesses
Detective Inspector Andrew Nicklin said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim, who is supporting our investigation. We urge anyone who saw what happened on the footpath near Decoy Drive, or who was in the park at the time, to get in touch.”
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
