Man in His 20s Assaulted at Nottingham Esso Garage

Police rushed to the Esso garage on Nuthall Road, Whitemoor, Nottingham, at around 5.45am today (2 April) after a seriously injured man stumbled into the shop.

The victim, a man in his 20s, is now in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

Detective Sergeant James Hirst of Nottinghamshire Police branded the attack “violent” and confirmed the victim remains in hospital.

“We are currently investigating what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident and urge any potential witnesses to come forward,” he said.

“Even at this time of the morning on a Sunday, this is a busy road and we believe there may be motorists with dash-cam footage which could help with our investigation.”

Large Police Presence, But No Wider Threat

Officers are keeping a strong presence in the Whitemoor area as inquiries continue. DS Hirst reassured the public:

“We currently believe this to have been an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public. If anyone has concerns, I would encourage them to speak to an officer.”
